Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor have opened talks with Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem over a potential summer move, Completesports.com reports.
Awaziem is expected to leave French club Nantes following the Canaries’ relegation from Ligue 1 at the end of last season.
According to Turkish outlet Spor Depor, Konyaspor are eager to strengthen their defence with the signing of the experienced centre-back, who has previously enjoyed two spells in Turkish football.

The Nigeria international first featured in the Turkish Super Lig during the second half of the 2018/19 campaign, when he joined Çaykur Rizespor on loan and made 16 league appearances.
He returned to Turkey in the 2021/22 season, spending the campaign on loan at Alanyaspor, where he scored once in 22 league outings and established himself as a regular starter.
The 29-year-old, who can also operate at right-back and in defensive midfield, has attracted interest from several clubs this summer, with Konyaspor now pushing to secure his signature.
Konyaspor finished ninth in the Turkish Super Lig last season. The Anatolian Eagles also reached the Turkish Cup final, where they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Trabzonspor.
