P-Square: ‘I can’t look away from my responsibility’ – Lola Omotayo finally speaks after apology from Nigerians

Date:

Lola Omotayo, wife of singer Peter Okoye, has finally broken her silence after weeks of apology from Nigerians.

DAILY POST reports that Lola has over the years been accused of causing the fight between the P-Square brothers.

It was alleged that the P-Square music duo, Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, started having misunderstandings after marriage to Lola.

The impression which has been online for over the years was however changed after her husband, Peter’s recent outburst.

DAILY POST reports that Peter outburst came after his twin brother, Paul, shaded him over his remarks about Nigerian languages.

Accusing Paul and Jude, who is their elder brother, of causing division, Peter in a series of videos and evidence shared on Instagram, alleged that Paul teamed up with Jude to divert P-Square royalties.

He alleged that the royalties worth millions of dollars were diverted into a company account owned by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.

Reacting to the new revelations, Nigerians on social media tendered apology to Lola for accusing her wrongly, with many tagging her and sharing her pictures to celebrate her patience and tolerance over the years.

Speaking for the first about the development, Lola, in an Instagram post on Monday, advised women not to allow public opinion to define them.

Expressing her love to everyone who has celebrated her for standing with Peter amid the crisis, she noted that she can’t look away from her responsibility.

She wrote, “To every woman, you are strong, capable, and worthy of every dream in your heart. You are the complete package. Never allow fear, failure, or the opinions of others to define you.

“Believe in yourself, your voice, embrace your journey, and keep moving forward. Say to yourself: I can’t look away from my responsibilities. I can’t look away from my strength as a woman.

“I can’t look away from the wisdom in my mind, the depth of my soul, or the purpose within my heart. I love you all.”
