Alleged Corruption: Atiku Reacts To Calls For EFCC Probe

Date:

Nigeria’s former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has fired back at those calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe him over corruption allegations.

New Telegraph recalls that a former National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ntufam Hilliard Eta, had urged the anti-graft agency and other law enforcement agencies to immediately probe and prosecute Atiku over allegations of corruption.

Reacting to the purported call in a statement issued by his media aide, Paul Ibe, The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate described the allegations as a mere political witch-hunt.

Atiku equally recalled that the Olusegun Obasanjo administration investigated him but was left with no evidence to pursue his prosecution.
