Zamfara ADC Inveigh Against Kasuwar Daji Killing, Kidnapping Of Over 70 Persons

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, has strongly condemned the alleged barbaric and heinous attack carried out by bandits in Kasuwar Daji district of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, which resulted in the killing of scores of innocent citizens and the kidnapping of over 70 others.

The African Democratic Congress considers this recent attack a deeply disturbing and unacceptable act of violence against innocent and defenceless members of our communities. The continued killing and kidnapping of citizens is a grave threat to peace, security and the socio-economic wellbeing of the people of Zamfara State.

The party in a statement issued by Comrade Anas Haidara Kaura,
State Publicity Secretary called for an immediate and coordinated search-and-rescue operation by the relevant security agencies to locate and secure the safe release of all those kidnapped in the attack.

“We urge the security agencies to deploy all necessary resources, intelligence and operational capabilities to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued safely and reunited with their families.

“The ADC also calls on the Federal, State and Local Governments to brace up to their constitutional and moral responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of citizens. We urge the government at all levels to strengthen security operations, improve intelligence gathering, enhance community-based security mechanisms and take decisive action against the criminal elements terrorising innocent citizens across Zamfara State.

“The State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Malam Shehu Maishanu Gulubba, extends the party’s deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident, as well as to the people of Kasuwar Daji and the entire Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.

“The State Chairman also expressed solidarity with the families of those who have been kidnapped and prayed for the safe and speedy return of their loved ones. He assures the affected communities that the ADC stands with them in this difficult and painful moment.

“The ADC Zamfara State Chapter called on all citizens to remain vigilant and continue to support lawful efforts aimed at restoring peace and security across the state. The party remains committed to advocating for good governance, responsible leadership and the protection of the fundamental rights and security of every citizen.

“May Almighty God grant eternal rest to those who lost their lives, comfort their bereaved families, and grant the abducted victims safe freedom and reunion with their loved ones”, the statement has further prayed.
