Transfer: Josh Maja linked with Stoke City move

Date:

Stoke City are plotting a move for Nigerian striker Josh Maja, DAILY POST reports.

Maja recently left West Bromwich Albion after failing to agree a new contract with the Baggies.

According to transferfeed, Stoke City manager, Mark Robins is an admirer of the Nigerian.

The 27-year-old previously had a loan spell at Stoke City from French club Girondins Bordeaux in the 2021/22 season.

Maja scored a paltry one goal in 15 Championship appearances during that spell.

Sky Bet Championship clubs, Watford and Bristol City are also reportedly monitoring the player.

The striker, who has one cap for Nigeria according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €4.5 million.

Maja joined West Brom from Bordeaux in 2023. He scored 19 goals in 81 appearances for Albion.
